Programs & Services
From cultural celebrations to youth mentorship and family support, our programs are built around the real needs of the Eritrean community in Georgia.
Celebrating Our Community
Throughout the year, EACAG brings the community together to celebrate Eritrean heritage, mark our national days, and strengthen the bonds that hold us together.
Community Day
Our signature celebration of Eritrean culture and community achievement — featuring live music, cultural performances, food, and the Pillar of the Community Award. The clearest expression of our mission to bring the full community together.
Independence Day Celebration
A family-friendly celebration of Eritrean Independence Day — commemorating the hard-won freedom achieved after a 30-year struggle for liberation. One of the most meaningful days in the Eritrean calendar, open to all members, youth, and new arrivals.
Graduation Celebration
Honoring EACAG community members graduating from high school through doctoral programs — with awards, live music, a networking room, and food. One of the events most associated with community pride.
Basketball Tournament
One of EACAG’s longest-running programs, dating to 2014. A youth and young-adult sports tournament fostering community connection and healthy competition.
Fall Festival & Holiday Dinner
Seasonal community gatherings before and during the holidays — family-friendly celebrations with food, entertainment, youth activities, and festive tradition.
Women’s Day & Martyrs Day
We honor International Women’s Day with a community dinner, and solemnly commemorate Eritrean Martyrs Day in remembrance of those who sacrificed their lives for independence.
Investing in the Next Generation
Our youth programs help young Eritrean-Georgians build skills, stay connected to their culture, and prepare for successful futures.
Ahwat Mentoring & Coaching
Structured mentorship for K–12 students, run in 12-week cycles. One of EACAG’s most sustained youth programs, building academic skills and life lessons.
College & Career Networking Workshops
Workshops connecting students and young professionals with mentors and opportunities — covering applications, personal statements, financial aid, career paths, and professional networking.
EriAm Legacy Program
A dedicated program for elderly community members, providing fellowship, social connection, and a space to share their wisdom with the community.
Standing With Our Families
EACAG provides practical support for families and newcomers, and helps our community engage fully in civic life.
Housing & Social Support
Case management, housing and rental assistance, refugee support, and referrals to legal and immigration services through our partner network.

Legal rights education for immigrants and refugees, offered in partnership with Asian Americans Advancing Justice — Atlanta.
Voter Registration & Civic Education
Ongoing efforts to promote voter registration and civic participation through community events and outreach.
